About Me

This blog is named as a legacy to my home based catering company in Dhaka, where I served healthy soups & salads, while running a recipe column under the same name in a local newspaper. The name represents my birth place, the Mediterranean city of Benghazi, amidst olive trees and & a love for all things organic, seasonal & healthy! I recently returned from a 2 year stint on the island of Crete, studying Heritage Management & researching the undermined value of carob. I now focus on food, specifically the heritage that surrounds it, while dishing out articles & uploading random pictures of food that represent culture in some way. I remain footloose, eating my way through different culinary cultures! 🙂
